Terms of Service

By accessing or using the NEXTKIN API platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

• You must register an account and obtain valid API credentials.
• You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure.
• Rate limits apply (default 100 requests per minute per key).
• We reserve the right to throttle or block abusive traffic.

NEXTKIN processes death verification requests and beneficiary data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are the data controller for your end-users' data; NEXTKIN is the data processor.

• Falsifying death certificates or verification requests.
• Using the API for any illegal purpose.
• Attempting to bypass rate limits or security measures.
• Storing API keys in client-side code.

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced via our status page and webhook notifications.

NEXTKIN provides verification services but does not make final transfer decisions. The integrating platform remains responsible for all ownership transfer actions.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, with or without notice.

We will notify users of material changes via email or webhook at least 30 days in advance.
